how do u disable the auto away feature and the "im not here right now" msg

Go into the Buddy list menu at the top.

tools -> preferences

in the tabbed preferences dialog, tap just to the right of "network" to scroll over to the Status/Idle tab.

Un-tick "Change status when idle"

thanks. thought there might be some hidden tabs. tried tapping that the first time but nothing happened so thought it was nothing.

Still cant find this option on my N900, have latest version of pidgin 2.7.7

you'll notice there's a "dot" besides that right most tab at the preferences dialog. keep tapping it until it scrolls to more tabs
