how to get Media Player to find mp3s and playlists
I transfered some mp3s into /home/user/MyDocs/.sounds/mp3/albums/ and some playlists into /home/user/MyDocs/.sounds/mp3/lists/ but Media Player can't find them. Where am I supposed to put them so that they are found? Or how do I get Media Player to find them?
Also, where do I put videos so that Media Player finds them? And where do I put photos so that the Photos app find them? Jeff (http://www.ece.purdue.edu/~qobi) |

I haven't experimented much with playlists, because what I need works. I have my audio files in subdirectories under /media/mmc1/podcasts. Each directory has a listname.m3u file with the audio file names in it. No directory path. The media player sees new directories soon after they show up. I did nothing to tell anything on the n900 about this. After about a week, I reformatted the SD card to ext2. Everything was fine for about a week, then I rebooted and got something about partition type not supported. (Hmmph!) I mounted it by hand, then after a day, found out that I needed to clear the tracker database and restart tracker by opening the media player. |
