Email not sending on N900
Hi All
I have set up my .mac email, and can receive emails ok, but cant get it to send, I have searched posts and changed smtp settings to be 'not secure' I have also changed the settings for the smtp in wireless connections to suit the provider? Any other ideas? |

well i am pulling out my hair, i have all the settings correct, and included individual settings in the mail setup for different smtp servers, still i cant send any mail, HELP

Same with me...sometimes it work..sometimes it doesn't...i dont' know what's going on. I have comcast.net.

Here in the Netherlands I have to use my email provider's pop3 settings for incoming and my phone provider's (Vodafone) settings for outgoing.

Yes, and if you think you've got it rough, try setting it up on the ueber restrictive and expensive t-mobile germany network. They block incoming and outgoing ports, don't allow Skype ports over celluar data, but you can pay an extra 4 euros a month to be able to check your email. (What a rip off, when I can do it for free via the browser) Skype is just a no go, becuase even though it's a flat rate data package, they really don't want you to use it for anything people in the rest of the world might actually want data for.
