Ring and Alarm Volume

Okay, I'm pretty sure I'm setting the volume in the right place, under profiles.

But the ring and alarm volume are so soft. I never hear the phone when its in my pocket, nor do I hear the alarm ring in the morning.

This phone is LOUD too, based on the speakers when blasting songs, is there a way an app can be written to increase the volume level?

Thanks!

Are you talking about the stock ringtones, or custom ones?

Just in case you've missed these, there are some phone loudness settings under menu, settings, profiles.
Scroll down for the phone ringing volume.

Re: Ring and Alarm Volume

yes i saw the volume sliders....
and yes for stock ringtones.

i realized that the ring and alarm volume is substantially below the max potential volume of the phone, even with my volume and ringtone volume slider on max.

only other option is to use adobe audition and boost the volume level of the sound file. urgh. i use the stock ringtones because i like the stock nokia ringtone, and because as nice as having mp3 song ringtones are, when doing business and stuff, i prefer to have a more practical ringtone lol.

I agree the volume of the ring tones, sms and alarm are way quieter than my wifes 5800 and cannot be heard in a coat pocket , i never hear the alarm in a morning . even the vibration on the 5800 is alot more fierce. isnt there away to hack the volume ?

Same problem here! Ringtone volume for calls is good but with SMS even if under profiles it is set at 100% when receiving SMSs it plays like it is set at 80%... Why?! I think that this is a bug...
