Cant input full WPA-PSK key on n900 WiFi
hi ive searched for this in bugs and in the forums but couldnt come up with anything specific for the n900, but before i created a bug i thought i would ask if anyone has seen it before.
it seems i cant type in all the characters from my WPA key, when i go to enter the last key it tells me that i have reached the character limit and the final key stroke can not be entered. i did find this post which seems to have some form of solution but it involves a bit of hacking which i would like to avoid, not that confident with the device yet http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=8120 work around http://blog.micxer.de/blog/archives/...-for-WPA2.html unfortunately the key is not for my wifi so i cant change it, but it would be really usefull if i could get connected. i believe looking at the above links it will accept 64 characters but the keys can be 65 characters long. if i create a bug ill make sure i have some further details on the connection to make replication easier. thanks |
Re: Cant input full WPA-PSK key on n900 WiFi
I have the same problem, as I wanted to enter the WPA key. As soon as I remember the passphrase, I might not need a bug fix, but either way it should be filed. So please go for it.
