Songbird officially supporting the N900 to sync music etc
 

It looks like Songbird are now officially supporting the N900 as a MSC Device on their webpage.

I was using it with foldersync on the previous version which was ok but slow - lets see if this new version where its integrated can do better.

Downloading it now, haven't tried it yet..

Seems it's only in Windows though.. won't show up in Linux. At least I can't get it to.

i tried this 2 days ago and not once have i got it to launch it just says starting up forever and never does
with some luck i hope they have fixed it, the start up bug happend on windows and linux versions

I wish we could hack a fix for ovi player, I'm actually liking that a lot now :(

Got 2 crashes and had to force quit the app 3 times before it was up and running on OS X

I think I know why, Songbird uses MSC not MTP mode. But Ubuntu seems to auto-prefer MTP mode.

MTP syncing in Songbird is Windows only it seems.

looks like they updated it to fix it the build i installed was 1,4,1 they now have 1.4.2 on the site
EDIT:looks like the new version fixed nothing b/c i still cant get it to launch

Here comes the dumb question...

How in hell do you sync playlists with your phone on songbird?

The fix is mostly for a UI glitch it seems (based on their blog).
