No Nokia Messaging ?
 

Hi, im trying to setup Nokia Messaging using the built-in email program, but I get all these services, but no Nokia Messaging. What am I doing wrong.

Outside the US, so maybe this has something to do with it.

Do you have your sim card in the phone? I only get Nokia Messaging as an option if I have a sim card. If I take it out and go wifi, the option is not there.

I have the sim card in the N900, tried two different SIMS, but still it won't show up. Any idea why not?

I think its not available in all countries, but could be wrong.

Would probably be more helpful if you said where you were, rather than where you were not. ;)

Would also be helpful if you can say which operator you are using. While Nokia Messaging is not a paid for service , there is a deal with the operator in there, hence why it checks for service availability (when you do see the menu item). It might be dependent on a 3G contract in specific countries.

When I set my N900 up (UK) it did disappear a couple of times. But a reboot seemed to bring it back.

Don't know if this applies but there is a "Nokia Chat" package that could be installed on my N810.
