[Maemo 5] Deleting Program: Cellular Modem Control UI-Power Key Button
Would anyone know how to delete a unwanted program off of the N900. Help would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to reboot several time and the program is still residing on the system. I do not know if this can be done through x term or not but would think so. The program is called "Cellular Modem Control UI-Power Key buttons" once I have uninstalled the program it still shows up in the Power Key selection as a usable program and does not uninstall. This may be because of the reboot requiring the program to run.

It installs a file to /etc, so dpkg marks that file as a "conffile". Long story short, Application Manager won't remove that file with its usual uninstall procedure.
Become root, run "apt-get remove --purge cell-modem-ui" and reboot. |

You didn't spell the command right, also make sure the graphical package manager isn't running at the same time...
(and let a minute or two pass after you quit it) you can also try: Code:
dpkg --purge cell-modem-ui Quote:

You need to become root first. Use the application manager to install the rootsh package, then come back to the terminal and run "sudo gainroot", then run "apt-get purge cell-modem-ui". Be warned that being root gives you full access to your phone, so you can potentially break it, so don't mess around.
