Re: How to check ip?

go to xterm, type ifconfig should be able to see all the ip addresses of all the currently active interfaces

Without any extra software installed, using the X-Terminal app. Enter the command

/sbin/ifconfig

You'll see multiple network interfaces. On an interface that has an IP address, it will have a line that beings "inet addr:" followed by the IP address.

More convenient is the app called "Personal IP Address". It's a small Desktop Widget that will display the active network interface and it's IP address. I think it's Maemo Extras respository by now.

It's the homeip application :)
On your n900 goto your application manager, click download. :)

I installed homeip, but it doesn't show up anywhere, desktop or menu.
How do I run it?
