N900: date field for a contact
 

can i add additional date fields to a contact (apart fron birthday)?

for example I want to add anniversary for a contact.
at present i have to use note field and cang get alarms\reminders for themin calander :(

any help will be appriciated...

Actually what you are asking is not possible. The only date you can add to contacts is the birthday, and you have to use the Calendar and the New Event function (with Repetition on Every Year of course) for anniversaries. What I suggest you is to report your request to Bugzilla as an enhancement, maybe that function will be implemented in future firmwares.

Hay, can you guide me on opening a bug/feature request? I havent done that before.

Sure.

Go to http://bugs.maemo.org, and register your new account providing a valid email and (optional) your real name.
Then, on the main page, click on "Enter a new bug report".
You have to select the proper category for your application, in your case the application is "Contacts", in "Official Maemo Applications".
Now you can complete all the required fields:
- Select your firmware version under "Version"
- Select N900 under "Platform"
- Write a little description under "Summary" (e.g. "Add additional date fields to a contact")
- Select Enhancement under "Severity"

The most difficult field is the Description one. You have to guide the reader of your bug report through the simplest way to your bug. (e.g. Open contacts. Create a new contact. EXPECTED OUTCOME: I'm able to add as many date fields as I want, for example Birthday and two or three anniversaries ACTUAL OUTCOME: I'm not able to do that, I can only add the Birthday field)
Then commit the bug report! You should also vote for it, if you want to confirm that bug. If you post the link to your report, I'll vote for it too.

i have your problem,i exported my evolution ML contacts and imported in n900, but i can't see some field.
