yup.. lets just wait for those games.. i know o lot of ppl are working on those now.. =]
i want CS to be ported on n900 too... =] |
Re: is there any one who would want to port counterstrike.
The first step would be to see if there is an ARM version of counterstrike. Considering Nokia devices and other mobile devices uses ARM instead of x86 (the type of processor your more likely to find in a desktop/laptop).

Re: is there any one who would want to port counterstrike.
Counterstrike on the n900 would be sweet, and I'm sure it's powerful enough to run it natively.
But there is essentially zero chance of it being ported without involvement from Valve Such is the nature of closed source software. |
Re: is there any one who would want to port counterstrike.
would be cool with a cs port, but isen't there some copyright issues with valve? wich means its not so good for it to be available through maemo.org's repositories.

No source code, so no recompilation for ARM is possible. ID releases their older engines open source, this is what has allowed the community to get Quake3 running on the n900 http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=31658 Copyright prevents the quake3 datafiles from being distributed in the repos, but you can copy your own over after installing the engine. |
