Mouse pointer stopped working
 
After memory shortage error problem with my N900 few weeks ago, I noticed my mouse pointer stopped working. Everytime I swap my fingure from the left lower conner in an attempt to get the pointer, nothing comes up, only the pageon the screen gets moved. Anybody else moticed this? Is there a way to remedy this problem?

Yes the browser and anything else that I would like to use the pointer for.

The pointer only shows up in the browser when in 'Hover-mode' (swipe from left into the screen). everywhere else, there is the 'cursor'. are you not able to copy/paste in non-browser apps like email/sms etc?

I am unable to use it in neither the web browsing mode nor any other modes. Is there is setting somewhere to enable this capability because my N900 has so been without any "faults" until now. Not that I care so much about this capability but it would be great to know that it is there and it "works".

There is no setting that I know of. They are both there by default. So if you open lets say, the Notes application and type something, the cursor (veritcal line) does not show up in the end of the word?

Still unable to get it to work after following the instruction in the video. I bet it has something to do with the "insufficient memory" errr message I received few weeks ago after trying to install firefox on the device. Or has something to do with the screen protector-- doubt this is the case though since it worked few times after placing the screen protector on. Anyway, I hope the next firmare update gets to take care of this problem... lol

The problem I had with getting the mouse cursor to show up was I needed to use a fingernail or the stylus instead of my finger.
