Porting open source dj-software from x86 to arm architecture

I happened to stumble upon this:
http://www.mixxx.org/

... and I was wondering how easy would it be to port this to maemo?

The port itself should be quite straightforward, but writing a user interface which is usable on such a small screen is not.

Simple mode seems to work in a chroot environment.

From your other posts, I see that you have easy debian installed already. Since qole did the hard work, you can install 'mixxx' like you would on your desktop.

Open the "Debian chroot" application from the menu
Code:

apt-get install mixxx
to run it:
Code:

mixxx
Same goes for any other application.

Sweet :)
I'll have to try it out and see if it performs.

I agree that the ui needs a LOT of tweaking to become usable. I just don't have any clue how to re-skin apps.

EDIT: now I do - just not the expertese to do it :D - I'll have to give it a go after a good night's sleep.

You can always use the stylus, if you need to ;)

Got it running, thx born2wonder.
This is not working well with default settings. If i push start, it stutters a lot.
Gonna try a few settings and post later ......
