keyboard problems
 

i installed easy debian on diablo...
it includes xvkbd virtual keyboard... it does not work...
it repeats whatever key was pressed last indefinitely,
even after the stylus is released.

i added -no-repeat to the command line, but doesn't help

i also tried matchbox keyboard, but it was much too small, and had focus/ window viewing problems.

did anyone get a keyboard to work well with easy debian,
or solve problem with xvkbd?

Click on xvkbd on the keyboard.

It will bring up a menu of options.

Deselect the repeating key feature.

i have xvkbd v3.0 "virtual keyboard for xwindows system".
that came with easy debian download.

i see many options when i press the xvkbd button but no repeat
option....

any ideas on how to stop the repeating on n800?

i found the answer in the xvkbd manual:
turn off Automatic Click
turn off Jump Pointer...
now it works!!! no more auto repeat!
