I think there is someone who's yet to understand how Nokia call its update...
The retail firmware is the 2009-42-11.
I think this one was the proto firmware.

Any confimation?

PR1.0 is the usual term for 42-11, which was the software installed on retail N900s?

someone should tell the folks at that symbian forum, that this is not an update (PR1.1) but an old version...

If it happens you can say goodbye to community testing. Consequently it will lower the quality of updates, so yeah, be careful what you wish for.

Well, names (also file names, and in particular compressed filenames) can be deceiving, very deceiving :)
