Penguin Command by Karl Bartel, Now for N900!
[EDIT] Found out who did the *awesome* Music (3 tracks) -- Skaven of Future Crew! http://www.futurecrew.org/skaven/

- New sound effects
- Rescaled to 800x480
- Optified binary deb
- Modified controls

Defend your cities from missile attack! Playing with touchscreen makes for a much different experience than with trackball... Select your missile battery with "a", "s", "d". Escape game with shift.

Debian binary is hosted here. http://pupnik.de/penguincommand.html

To install to your N900, download the package and as root execute
Code:

dpkg -i penguin-command_1.7.1-maemo.deb
(to avoid typing, use dpkg -i peng[ctrl-i] for tab completion)

To play, execute 'penguin-command'

BUGS:
- Occasional segfault on load - related to sound and sdl-mixer ... just try it again and it works

TODO:
- Missile logic: allow for missiles to miss - estimable by player
- Gadgetoid's gestures and graphics (maybe ;)
- Select missile battery with click
- Hilight selected missile launcher
- Settings screen cleanup
- Possible difficulty ramping tweaks (need feedback!)
- Lower latency on sound (argh, yes)
- Fix Launcher Icon/Desktop file

WONTDO:
- Debian Packaging / Maemo-extras

You really know how to do a port announcement, which is not surprising given your long history of doing them. I don't understand the repo/Extras-hate though. Why?

had major issues with that as well and the auto build function did some weirthings as well. I would be more than happy to help out with that sort of thing if you like.

Thanks for the port by the way

You do not need autotools.
