Chibitracker Music Tracker builds!

Chibitracker: a nice (few dependencies) ImpulseTracker clone is buildable...

What it is: lets you make music on the n900, just like the old amiga .mods!
What it isn't: finished, bugfixed, debified, optified, etc etc.

No point in uploading the binary. Plays .s3m tracks nicely though!

The question is, will you finish it?

I spent all night searching for music and tracker apps that *CAN* work, and i managed to compile a couple.

Let me explain why i think this is useful. There are hundreds and thousands of programs for linux. Just because they are 'linux' doesn't mean they can run on the tablets or n900. Simply saying "Hey, i see this neat linux application, and I think somebody should port it to maemo!" doesn't help at all because most linux apps lying around there require outdated libraries and tools. There is no information on whether a port is actually doable, or that anyone should invest their spare time doing it.

Showing "This app builds and runs" means that it may be worth closer attention.

And it is! as a musician using Renoise on desktop, this would make my N900 the ultimate sketching tool!
