Extra Protocol Plugins not available
 

Nice little article on Maemo Freak about the "Extra protocol plugins for Conversations and Contacts. I have the extras repository enabled and this package isn't showing for me. Has it been pulled?

No, it's just that the freak can't make himself well understood.
If you look at the link where he gives instructions on enabling 'extras' (http://maemo-freak.com/index.php/hac...vel-catalogues) you'll notice it's actually about extras-testing and extras-devel
If you're new here, this is what they're about: new software goes to devel, then to testing. Only after testing and approval by users can software go to the main extras repo.
You can enable these repos from you app manager if you want. Be warned that the software inside is not guaranteed not to destroy your device. Even if you only install these plugins, be sure to disable them afterwards, to make sure you don't accidentally install something from there later on

I've avoided the extras-devel repositories precisely because of the possible side-effects. I didn't follow his link because I already had extras enabled, but perhaps I should have. Thanks for the help!
