Updating Gmail

I've added a few e-mail addresses of mine in my N900 and they all work fine except for Gmail. The new e-mails aren't automatically retrieved, I have to do in manually.

How can I fix this?

Thank you!

Same problem here also I can only update my gmail over wifi and not 3g. Why is that?

Because you do not have it set to poll using both methods.

Sorry, I didn't get what you meant.

I think he means the option "Update via connection" in the settings of the e-mail client.
You can set that to "Wi-Fi" only

That, or you can set it to "update" your mail account, using "any" internet connection.

Yep, that is what you have to do.

Well, I've had that since I got my phone, so that isn't the problem (which could be the problem of fettouhi).

But mine just doesn't update automatically, just manually.
