Gwibber on Maemo 5

From what I can gather, Gwibber runs excellently on OS2008, so I have been attempting to get it running on Fremantle.

It would be excellent as a dedicated facebook/twitter applications I think.

I've got the bzr branch on an Ubuntu karmic machine, began installing the dependencies and ran into a snag. Setup requires intltool and a bucnh of other libraries like python mxdatetime

Has anyone had any luck getting gwibber running?

I'm going to beging porting the needed dependencies as soon as possible.

The most impiortant one requried is intltool plus its dependencies

Re: Gwibber on Maemo 5

intltool is in the extras-devel but the following aren't and are required

patch
automake1.7
libxml-parser-perl

Any progress with this? Just found gwibber and immediately thought how great a base to build upon this would be on the N900.

i like tweetdeck, but looking linux air support its getting dropped.

which its stupid since android runs a linux kernel

Re: Gwibber on Maemo 5

I'm pretty sure the kernel in Android has nothing to do with it. Any apps run on the Dalvik virtual machine, which might as well have been built on top of Windows.
