MasterGear 2.6.6 Released
 

Hello, All!

I have released MasterGear 2.6.6 for OS2008 and Maemo5 devices. MasterGear will emulate SG1000, MarkII, MarkIII, MasterSystem, and GameGear consoles from SEGA. It will also emulate the SC3000 and SF7000 home computers. This version includes the following changes:

• Changed GameGear scaling factor to x3 when in windowed mode.
• Added error message when cannot load an initial file.
• Added filename extension filters.
• Added proper About dialog box.
• Added customizable key mappings for diagonal buttons.
• Added fast-forwarding with [Ctrl]+[Space].

The OS2008 version should be available from Extras automatically. The Maemo5 version is available from Extras-Testing. If you really want it in Extras, please, test and vote here:

great! ran everything I threw at it, and it was really speedy. And I'm really happy that you decided to apply the x3 zoom to the window. the previous version was kinda small, although some people might complain that now it's a bit blocky. Maybe make the zoom user configurable?

Awesome work fms! Both of the shining force games work perfectly now! These 2 game gear games were also released on the sega cd and are pretty much identical. There different games then the 16 bit cartridge versions so check them out if you own the carts.

Also is the 3x zoom only for the n900 or does this apply to the n810 aswell? Still trying to figure it out

Hi,

I installed this from the Maemo catalogue last week but I can't find the 3x zoom option - the screen only appears as a tiny square inthe middle.

Do I have to enable 3x zoom? The version is 2.6.

hey i am VERY interested in a genesis emu for n900..what would be involved to port one? i would really like to play sonic..

when i open the game. it ask show me my n900 path..what should i do?

To play games with MasterGear you need game files. MasterGear only emulates the hardware of the console and does not contain any Sega console games itself.
