Messages memory full

Hello, you'll maybe think i'm a noob lol but i've a question for you...
i'm getting a message since some days about conversations. it says that the memory is full and that I can't send or receive messages until i free memory.
Is there a way to free that memory ?
I know that i can delete conversations, but if i want to keep them, what should i do ?
Is there a way to expand that memory ?
Thx

Seems like you have a full root partition.
Did you install anything from extras-testing/devel?
Do you have a lot of apps installed?
Try removing an app you don't need. If that fixes the problem, you need to see what's filling up your root partition

On a related note, is it possible to tidy up Conversations but keep the messages archived for searching / browsing later? Thanks.

stop using extras-testing and extras-devel.

this is what you get when you aren't reading the disclaimers so that you also understand what those say.....
