SDict Viewer for N900

I have an N800 that I have used since it came out. One of my favorite programs is the SDict Viewer. Since I teach English, it is indispensable with access to three and four dictionaries at a time.

I have been trying for two hours to get this program on my N900.
The website says it will work with it but I just can't get it to load.

The page directs you to download PyMaemo on the devise and gives instructions on how to obtain it.

Maemo 5 (Fremantle)¶

To install PyMaemo you first need to enable the PyMaemo repository, so you can enjoy Python on your device.

Note

You will need a working internet connection to install PyMaemo on your device, check your device manual about how to configure one.

Follow the sequence depicted on the images below. Open the App Manager, click on the title Application manager, then on the button Application catalogues, then click on New.

Fill the new repository data with the information below and click Save.
Catalogue name: Maemo Extras-Devel
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel
Distribution: fremantle
Components: free non-free

Yet, I don't see PyMaemo in the list of programs in the repository.
When I try to open the DEB file of the dictionary with the Application Manager, nothing happens. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

It didn't seem so difficult on my N800.

Can anyone help me? Please!

Thanks in advance.

Re: SDict Viewer for N900

Did the repo update? If you have extras-devel repo enabled, you'll have a much longer list of available applications. Note, extras-devel often doesn't load due to overloaded servers ( https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5818 ).

I'm not familiar with SDict, but sounds like it may be similar to qstardict, which is another nice dictionary application. It's in extras-devel (or maybe -testing).
