is there someone who can tell me exactly how to install aircrack-ng on my n900.... because i saw it on youtube that it can be done.

application manager helps you. aircrack-ng is in repository.

Thanks for the video but am unable to access it at the moment, anyone know how to run aircrack??? have installed but no idea how to run, searching doesn't help much... about three threads going :(

open terminal and type in:
aircrack-ng

It's not in just extras-devel. It's in extras-devel, extras-testing, and extras. (I was the one who got it there, although the original maintainer did the honors of pressing the 'promote' button after promotion was unlocked from -testing to extras.)

Where are my manners? The people who voted on the program while it was in Testing deserve credit too - without them it wouldn't be in Extras.

There is a gui for aircrack

after you get them, you may want to install the Wifi driver slector applet. makes switching easier.
