Trouble with GPE applications, calendar, etc
 

I recently purchased a 770 tablet. I want to sync with PC suite as I do with my Nokia E62 but found out not possible . I tryed to install the GPE Suite using instructions but have had no success. I am a Newbie and need help with installing these apps for my calendar contacts, etc. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Toby,

You'll need to describe your problem in more detail: what do you do, what you expected to happen, what actually happened.

"[H]ad no success" doesn't give anyone much to go on, and people typing out detailed instructions when it might be all you've done is click "Bob" rather than "Foo" isn't very productive.

The problem is when I try to download and install the package from maemo.org catalog I get an error message indicating that some files are missing that are needed and cant install package. I am attempting to get this GPE Suite from Maemo.org Application Catalog 2006 At this page I scroll down to the respository link and go to this directory http://downloads.kernelconcepts.de/maemo2. From there i continue to open folders then I get to a long list of files. When I try to copy the above address into the app manager I get the installation error message mentioned above.

I ran into this, too. The problem is that you need another repository added to get the missing pieces... I think it was:
http://repository.maemo.org
bora
free non-free
