Phone goes dead in stand-by after PR1.1
I have a serious problem after the latest firmware update PR1.1.
When my phone goes in stand-by mode (screen off, keys locked, etc), it would eventuelly go dead after a while. Usually after couple of minutes. It stays black and doesn't respond to anything anymore. Just the LED stays in its current blinking mode (e.g. blue, when there was unread mail). I have to take out the battery, then its starts up normally and works perfectly fine ... until after a while it doesn't wake up from stand-by anymore again. It even happened during charging. Apparently if the phone is powered-off and you connect the charger, it boots into some mode where it can control charging. And even in this mode it went dead, too. When I woke up today, the LED was still blinking orange, which surprised me, because usually its green, because the phone gets fully loaded overnight. Even when I unplugged the charger, it kept blinking orange and again I had to remove the battery to be able to turn it on. It seems to have crashed early, since the battery wasn't fully loaded. I reflashed once, yesterday evening, and restored my backup, but overnight I had the charing problem described above. Then I just reflashed again (both with the Flasher 3.5 tool), without restoring any backup and while I wrote this post, it went dead again! Does anyone else have this problem, too ? A similar problem is described in this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=40502 |
Re: Phone goes dead in stand-by
It seems flashing the eMMC in addition to the firmware did the trick for me.
I first flashed the eMMC and then (as suggested) the firmware again. Both as described here: http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware Didn't go dead anymore yet. |
Re: Phone goes dead in stand-by
Arghh. :(
Its dead again. It took some longer now, but same issue. I didn't install anything, nor did I change any settings, after doing the flashing. I just left it sitting there untouched and looked from time to time if its still alive. Does any one have more ideas what to try? |
