Mediabox: Adding folders to playlists without album art.
 

This is something that has plagued me with almost every playlist supported media player I have come across and I was wondering if it annoys others and if there might be s solution or workaround.

My situation is that the folder layout I have is artist with each album as a sub folder.

I like to create large playlists of multiple artists. for long run random play.

When I add folders to the playlist it adds all of the album art too which disrupts playback.

With several hundred songs it is also a chore to then remove all the album art.

I would like to see an option, when adding to only include audio for instance.

Alternatively sort options and multi select on the playlist view would be very handy so I could sort by type, select all of the images and remove in one go without having to scroll down and do it one at a time with the list quite often bouncing back to start after a removal.

N.P. Given the large amount of thought that has obviously already gone into this media player in terms of usability and filling the gaps left by others I felt sure that these would be welcome suggestions and media box my best shot at hassle free playlist management on the N900.

Oh well. Since I was told they were good Ideas I followed the links to the tracker but the enhancement request was closed as wonntfix with no comment or explanation.

In that case is it possible to manually edit playlists? I really don't want to have to spend half an hour deleting album art one file at a time every time I add several albums by folder.

Alternatively, if there has been, or is to be a fix to ignore album art while playing it would be nice for a comment to be added to the tracker issue.
