trouble installing media streamer
 

hello,

when i try to install mediastreamer, i get an error message- "could not install mediastreamer."

any ideas where i could start to look for a reason for this? this is a 770 with os2006.

If you have OS2006 2.1 you wont be able to install it I have the same issue.

which os? i flashed the latest 2006 update yesterday; media streamer still doesn't work- needs something called 'click' or something.

I actually had issues with the apt key being out of date so the GUI installation app wasn't working. what I ended up doing was opening an xterm window, login as root, downloading the *.deb files to a temp location using wget, then as root running dpkg -i [name].deb. This worked for me.

Sounds like you're missing a repository.
Which ones do you have enabled?

ok, maybe it didn't work so well...

it seemed to install ok; it's listed under 'Extras'. when i launch i get the 'Media Streamer - loading' message, then nothing.

any ideas?
