Album Art in Mplayer question
This may have been asked a thousand times so apologies if it has
How does mplayer know about the album art? I uploaded an Album which just contained the mp3's and the Album icon appeared Now it would be great if I could get the album art for all my albums ive got on my N900, does the mplayer go and search a cd database and I take it the album tag must be embedded in the mp3's themselves |

Re: Album Art in Mplayer question
Hmm but how does the album art get into the .mediaartlocal folder when the transferred MP3's have no album art id3 tags (not that I can see anyway)
media player must be getting it from the internet but there are no configurable options |
Re: Album Art in Mplayer question
Slightly offtopic.
Is there any busybox bash gurus :) I would like to rename all the jpg files in different (albums) subfolders to cover.jpg and found duplicates (backcovers) could for example be cover1.jpg etc. |

Re: Album Art in Mplayer question
There isnt a picture file in the directory, thats my point :)
There is now a .mediaartlocal folder as a subfolder with the album cover image in it but i didnt put it there, I only copied the mp3's to the N900 using mass storage mode |
Re: Album Art in Mplayer question
are you sure the n900 is getting the art work from somewhere?
i mean that i use mediamonkey to embed all my art work into my mp3s, and after transfering them to phone i only ever see art work that ive embedded myself, the mp3s i didnt add artwork to still show the nokia turntable icon |
Re: Album Art in Mplayer question
