N900: Bookmark small icon instead of page preview
 

Hi,

Is it possible to have an Icon (48x48) on the desktop for a bookmark, instead of a page preview?

I know thats possible to create own shortcuts but I can't find this guide and see if this would solve my concern.

You will need to create a new <bookmarkname>.desktop file on /usr/share/applications/hildon.
You can simply make a duplicate of ovi.desktop file and rename the file, modify the name and the url inside.

Read this thread and only do it if you understand it as it's only safe if done properly.

I attached the icon I made for google maps, it might be usefull for someone...
