Retractable MicroUSB cable
 

Just received one of these today: http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.26313
Delivery took 8 days to the UK. Seems to work fine; the N900 both mounts and charges from my laptop. Thought others might be interested if they need a small cable for travelling.

I use the Boxwave mini-sync for N97.

It is on the slightly pricier side, but it works for the n900. It also does have the additional "power only" plug that allows you to charge from a non-computer power source (like a USB or car adapter)...

DX is ok just takes forever to get stuff, I had a few items go bad premature or not work at all that I got from them so you definitely get what you pay for. In the case of the USB cable I would get two of them, one for a backup if the first one doesn't work :D

Good deal. For those in the US with a Fry's nearby, I was able to score a free (after rebate) Retrak retractable micro USB cable so it might be something to look out for. I didn't even realize I had it. I'll give it a go when my N900 arrives.

Edit: Tested and works great.
