Mobile browser that browses in mobile mode
 

Can someone develop a browser application that browses websites in mobile mode like other mobile phones

I think this feature is useful for people using a connection with limited bandwith on the network.


I do love the built-in browser when I'm using wLan but since there is no 3g compatibility in Canada I would like a more lightweight mobile browser with reduced data transmission

just handy for viewing websites on the go..

there are a lot of websites like those but nothing works on it.. no javascript no images...

an application would be nice

I'm also looking for an easy way to browse in mobile mode and save a bit of bandwith.

I've tried to install this plugin but MicroB never finishes the installation, you can start the installation process but then it asks to restart in order to finish the installation and it never does.

The only other way seems to be the hide user agent but it's not really easy/friendly to use !

Firefox for Maemo (Fennec) is recognized by many sites as a mobile browser. You can try that with your favourite sites and see how it goes.

Set the user agent of your device to a Nokia N95 or 5800. That way website will think your browser is a mobile browser.

Do this. You get the mobile version for supporting sites plus gives you access to ANdroid version of gmal/buzz etc.
