Android on the N900
Is it possible to get Android running on the N900 as of now?
This would of course be a huge project, but, I'd be willing to semi-fund a project to compensate someone for a full open source Android development. |

I remember playing with a droid in a verizon store and thinking to myself: With all the hype, Man this thing is overrated. But to be able to use android apps... I see it. |

Re: Android on the N900
It could be possible as some of the guys in this thread (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=35112&page=7) are trying to run android on n900 and some success

Similarly, it would be interesting to see how Maemo performed on other devices. Don't get me wrong though, I love Maemo and the N900. I like the idea however of being able to run Android apps -- that would be a great compromise. |
Re: Android on the N900
I wouldn't mind getting other OS working. Why not. Dual boot. =)
You get the best of both worlds if you can get it working on N900. It's like saying PS3 is better than Wii and vice versa. Why not just have both. =) |
