attempted to install dgen 1.23 and..
 

it didnt work at all. it opened and everything but the screen remained black. is there something i can do to make it work? really wanna play sonic..

Have you tried loading other roms? Sometimes (U) roms will work better than (E) or (J) and vice-versa.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I installed dgen 1.23-9 on my n900 and the icon is not showing up at all in More..

Did dpkg -i as root and it seemed to install it properly..

You have to use xterm
and ill try your suggestion

So I've also been having the same issue as OP. Wish someone was working on a GUI for it.

im not sure dgen is even workable. i wish somebody would port a working one like they did for snes..i figured the demand for a genesis emu would be moderately high but it seems like not..

I grew up playing the Genesis and not the SNES like most people so a fully working emu would be lovely :D

I too would love to see a Genesis emulator...Sonic 3 and Knuckles still has to be one of my favorite games of all time
