ukeyboard, what is kbd_normal and slide alpha problem

I have created a working virtual keyboard, but there's two things I want to make sure of.

1. Where is "kbd_normal" keyboard used? As far as I see, Maemo 5 uses only "kbd_thumb", right?

2. There's a small problem with slide keys and alphabetic characters. For example, this definition:
Code:

slide alpha { key A key B }
works as expected, except in one case - when the keyboard tries to automatically capitalize a letter (i.e. you're entering the first letter, or a letter after full stop (.)), instead of just entering "A", or allowing you to cycle between "A" and "B", what gets entered is "AA". Is this a bug in Maemo, ukeyboard or my mistake?
