Does your N900/Camera click/tick when you take pictures?

Quite question really,

I dropped my N900 today (CRY) scuffed the chromy paint alittle bit, but i think now when i take pictures on the device, it makes a tick, audible too, is anyone else finding this (make sure your in silent mode?)

I really hate breaking new devices :( lol.

I was at the hospital the other day so had silent mode on. Heard a ticking from the camera but after some frantic opening of the camera door.and pressing a few buttons it stopped. Not sure what I did as at the time I just wanted it to stop.

Well previously before, im pretty sure i had no ticking, but i had pixel walk on my display (Like walking rows of pixels up the screen as if to have a lighting issue,)

But after dropping it, im left with no pixel walks but a ticking camera, and im just curious to see if i've damaged anything inside of the camera itself.

Yupe, it's always there on mine, and if you look into the lens, you'll notice it actually moves when you press on the shutter button, resulting the clicking sound. My n958gb also has that sound, but it was made by an internal shutter-alike "thingy", not sure if n900 has that as I haven't notice that.

just tryed it....

when you press the cam button soft then the lens is moving (autofokus)
when you press the cam button hard then the n900 makes the photo & moves the lens to position zero... when it do that it hits the plastik behind i think... & thats is the klick-noise....

No thats a very good explanation, i have no understanding of camera or lens hardware and thats just helped me even further. :)

I hope my picture quality is ok, god i feel so stupid dropping a device like this, its utterly rediculous :(.

It was in a hard leather case, but it still hit the floor side on and scuffed.
