How do I import a non public cert into Cert Manager ?

I have a private (ie self signed cert) that I want to get onto the cert manager

How do I go about doing this, normally on a PC you can do this from within Internet Explorer by an option to install the cert

I cant find a way under the built in web browser, if I look at the details of the cert it is fine and browser says it is ok, however it doesnt appear in Cert Manager

The reason for doing this is I want to try out MfE but it doesnt work which I believe is because it isnt a public cert

Thanks

MfE (and the N900 certificate manager) only work with CA certificates. You can use self-signed certificates, but they need to have the CA flag set. You import certificates by opening the .pem file with the File Manager - it then prompts to import the certificate.

I did open the .pem file with File Manager but it only opened the cert it didnt ask to install

It will be too much of a pain to re-do the certs, im certain the cert I created has the CA flag set

What is the easiest way to check if it has or not

On the N900, you can run (in X Terminal):
Code:

openssl x509 -in filename.pem -text
If it has the CA flag set, then it should say CA:TRUE under X509v3 Basic Constraints.

Not sure - I've never tried anything other than the basic .pem file.

File Manager lets me open the P7B file and gives me the certificate details but no option to import

It seems there's a bug with certs that was put in PR1.1. Fixed in PR1.2.
