Want to remote control my PC from N900, but ...

.... I would like to see the *complete* Windows desktop on the N900 in one view (i.e. no scrolling on the N900 screen to see the different parts of windows desktop, like through VNC) ... The reason why I would like this is so that we can then use the N900's touchscreen display to effectively make the computer display touchscreen too .. :D ..

So is there any tool which allows you to remote control your PC, and also shrinks the remote PC display so that it fits in the N900 screen .. ? Can VNC Viewer be modded to do this maybe ?

I believe what you're describing is present in rdesktop. This uses the windows built in remote desktop service instead of a VNC server.

The rdesktop-cli package is lacking a GUI for setting the connection parameters. However, the rdesktop package currently fails to connect to non-standard ports, so the -cli version is needed for that. If you're not needing to do that, then stick with the rdesktop package.

I know this is an old thread but I kind of figured out how to right click and this is one of the search results for "rdesktop right click" so I thought I'd point out how if anybody else is searching.

on the keyboard hit the "blue arrow" then "sym", that performs a right click. the bad part about this is that the arrow key is still waiting for a keypress so your next keypress will be a symbol or number. The behaviour is somewhat odd too, the sym button sometimes requires a double press.
