Does the Backup programme ACTUALLY backup SMS's?
 
Does anyone know? Can anyone verify that Backup actually backs up SMS's? Thanks:)

Yeah. All the junk SMSes for the dude who used to have my number, and who was apparently a rave party goer, are carefully preserved for all time.

Sorry to be picky but did you specifically reflash your device - see that the sms's had been deleted and once recovering the backup they were restored? The issue is that sometimes SMS's arent deleted on reflash..
