In the US, Nbcolympics.com uses microsoft silverlight, so we cant watch them there yet. What do other countries use?

Re: Best way to watch olympic games in N900?
for uk users you can use the iplayer downloader, ok it's not live. but a good way to catch up.
(can work if you can make iplayer beleive you are in the uk for others.) |

Re: Best way to watch olympic games in N900?
I can open these links directly in Kmplayer but not media player. Its opens the video briefly then goes straight to the internet radio screen (the buffering screen).
Am I missing some functionality or codecs? cheers |

Re: Best way to watch olympic games in N900?
Hi!
In Norway we also need to watch the games using Silverlight. In Ubuntu this works fine using Moonlight 3.0 Preview 2. On N900 when trying to download this plug in I get an error message saying it is not compiled for ARM. How come Nokia has not put a big effort on making this run on N900. Imagine what good publicity this would give this device! On http://www.linuxfordevices.com/c/a/N...light-support/ it is claimed that: Nokia promised to support Microsoft's cross-platform multimedia plugin across its major mobile device products. The Finnish mobile-phone giant will add Silverlight support to Symbian S60 smartphones, Series 40 devices, and Linux-based Nokia Internet tablets, it said. So, NOW, is the time too keep this promise!
