Which "mobile docking station" for N900?
Hi,
as the N900 has proven very capable of replacing many devices, I would like to further extend its usage. Missing features: - USB host mode for USB sticks, hard drives and printers, ... - LAN connectivity - external SD slot The best way to connect with the N900, seems to be WLAN. So I first thought about a WLAN router or WLAN storage solution with USB slots. But only very few are mobile (=battery powered). So a netbook seems a better choice. It would also offer these additional advantages: - vga connector (e.g. when connecting over vnc) - reload N900 battery - portable screen - portable keyboard - portable big hard disk - trackpad What do you think of those models (prices from geizhals)? - Hercules eCafé EC-900 (189 EUR) - Acer Aspire One (229 EUR) - Lenovo IdeaPad (229 EUR) - Belinea xs10 (233 EUR) - Asus Eee (249 EUR) - Packard Bell dot S (249 EUR) - Samsung N130 (249 EUR) All have a 160 GB 2.5" hard disk, 2000-4400 mAh power and 8.9"-10.2". Or do you have any of those and can recommend another feature I should look out for, that you regularily use? Sebastian |
