Latitude updater python script
 

In case you've been trying to keep Google Latitude updated with your position but have become frustrated by needing to keep some app open here's my solution:

It needs python-location package (from extras-devel). Start once to create config file, edit ~/.config/location-updater.cfg and then start daemon with python latitude-updater.py -d.

Still a rather early version with bugs but hopefully better than nothing. Comments, suggestions and patches are welcome.

Very nice script. Thanks for that. A nice small GUI to start/stop would be very helpful for me.
