Hey lovely N900 developers... any of you planning to throw us N8*0 owners a bone?

Hey, can I get a roll call of anyone who is creating apps for N900 and is planning to make them compatible with the N8*0.

Please note putting your name to this list will ensure you go to heaven and will more than likely make you more attractive to the opposite sex...

MediaBox and the N900 FM radio player will both have releases for N8x0 soon. I'm working on a cross-Maemo framework for my apps to make it easier to target Diablo and Fremantle at the same time with the same code.

This is kind of off-topic, but what features about versions of Maemo disable the possibility to, say put Maemo 5 on the N8*0 ?

What poses the most difficult limitations for the OS and what poses the most difficult limitations for making apps work on both platforms?

There are no real technical issues. The problem is that a large part of Maemo 5 and a large part of N810 are closed, so only Nokia can port Maemo 5 to N810, but they decided not to.

I have a Plan. Too bad I'm not following it... :(

Anyway, there will be a new Tear for N8x0, I'm just not sure when.

Erminig-NG will (hopefully) be N8x0-compatible. At least this is the plan.
Obviously on the N8x0 the only sync capability will be with GPE, unlike the N900 version which allows sync with the built-in calendar.
