could well be, it sounds very similar, cheers for the link, i did try a search but that didn't show.

ive come to the conclusion that searching maemo.org is easier if you do it via googles site search function

That conclusion is so common.. that IIRC there is a "power search" at the main forum page that does exactly that :D.

If we can somwhow replace the Nokia closed-source drivers of the Phone-modem with open source versions. Also the ability to use an external bluetooth keyboard & mouse would be great. Connect the n900 to a lcd tv.

We'll have a "proper" portable Linux Desktop-like PC!
