Turn off email quicker would be nice!!
 

I love the instant message and email features for being on the road.

I particularly like the fact you can quickly go from available to offline from the top little menu thing where IMs are concerned. I dont want skypes coming through to me whilst im sitting infront of my pc.

I also dont want my emails going to my phone whilst infront of a PC, but the only was i see to turn that off is by going into the email app, then to the options, then to untick: update automatically.

It would be cool if there was a similar way of saying I want IM's and emails because i'm out and about, or i dont want them at all.

Just an idea!

I usually just disable the connection on my phone when sitting at my desk. if you've got a second handset or deskphone you can set up a GSM call forwarding. It isn't ideal but it does the job.

It should be really simple to make a very small script (shell/python) that sets the email scan interval to never and back to X when run. In fact since in fremantle desktop widgets are handled more nicely than in previous versions making a simple widget should be relatively easy.
