How about an On Screen indicator for CapsLock/FnLock state?
Fairly often, I find myself writing with the hardware keys and I realise I have no idea whether I'm in lowercase, UPPERCASE, Titlecase, Function shift/fn lock is on
Is there a way to enable a small indicator somewhere to be maybe: abc Abc ABC fn (the blue keys) FN when I'm writing with the physical keys? |
Re: How about an On Screen indicator for CapsLock/FnLock state?
I agree !!!
It's probably one of the most feature needed actually. A++ |
Re: How about an On Screen indicator for CapsLock/FnLock state?
Maybe a LED color for each one would be a good idea?

Re: How about an On Screen indicator for CapsLock/FnLock state?
I agree that the missing indicator often causes problems. This bug/enhancement is listed in Bugzilla as:

Re: How about an On Screen indicator for CapsLock/FnLock state?
FN lock led indicator:
Download this package and install it: http://my.arava.co.il/~matan/770/n90...+0m5_armel.deb (source patch is in the same directory). Download this module http://my.arava.co.il/~matan/770/n90...leds-lp5523.ko and replace the one in /lib/modules/current (better keep the original). See here for source: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=44267 reboot After each reboot run as root the command: chmod a+w /sys/class/leds/lp5523:a/brightness Now the red led is fn lock indicator. It runs at low brightness when fn is sticky and brighter when it is locked. |
