Random questions about the N900
I come across random stuff about the N900 I don't quite understand, and if I don't find the information in the wiki or find a proper topic with search .. I spam the question in to a semi-related topic, that can actually disrupt the flow of that thread.
I don't like that kind of messages when I'm reading a thread, and maybe you don't either. So I thought of making a thread where random questions could be asked, and hopefully someone will answer. This way maybe other topics will better stay on their topic. |
Re: Random questions about the N900
I'll start with this question:
I just got a message in my rss reader about grr, a google reader app. Now as I only use Google Reader I find this to be an awesome app, but in my file manager it shows up to be 15.3MB, which I find to be pretty large for a reader app. Now is the app actually this big, or does it show up bigger in my file manager because it's also listing the dependencies that need to be downloaded along with it, for it to work? Meaning if I downloaded it again, it would maybe be 5mb the next time due to me having all the dependencies already? http://maemocentral.com/2010/02/24/g...-for-the-n900/ |

Re: Random questions about the N900
It also counts the depencies...
Grr consists of a binary about 176k and an icon of 12k... The big chunk is probably qt4.6.2 and all its dependencies. |
Re: Random questions about the N900
i was wondering ifanyone else was trying out the "grr app". it is nice to have an interface like that but my only issue is i listen to streaming podcast from the google reader on my laptop, but this app doesnt have a audio player when i open my feed. if anyone has any SA on this let me know.

Re: Random questions about the N900
Ok here is my question,
Why dont Nokia release different colors for the N900? Imagine it in yellow!! |
Re: Random questions about the N900
I think again it's because the N900 is more of a proof of concept, so they didn't expect to sell that many.
No doubt the next gen phones will be targetted for a larger group of people and thus having more differences to appeal to more people. This is just me speculating ofc. |
