Nokia N900 hacked into remotely controlling your Nikon DSLR

Re: Nokia N900 hacked into remotely controlling your Nikon DSLR
Impressive!
If only my Cannon 350D had IR and it worked with that! :p |
Re: Nokia N900 hacked into remotely controlling your Nikon DSLR
You can do it easily with the "shutter" widget available in extra. Works well with my D90.
It's based on LIRC and the timings of the ML-L3 remote control : See http://www.bigmike.it/ircontrol/. |

Re: Nokia N900 hacked into remotely controlling your Nikon DSLR
Does this mean it could work with the Canon EOS 400D as that has IR for the remote?

Re: Nokia N900 hacked into remotely controlling your Nikon DSLR
Guys, at least read my original blog entry - then you might understand.
I posted it days ago: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=45802 The hack isn't controlling the SLR - that's shutter as calvin says. The hack is combining it with code to strobe the flash on the N900 so I can use the n900 as a wireless flash. Poor journalism from gsmarena there... |
Re: Nokia N900 hacked into remotely controlling your Nikon DSLR
I love this hack! Here's hoping you either get this integrated into Shutter, or post it as an independent app.
