remote desktop (not vnc) with n900

i'm aharon from israel , Big fan...
after 5 months I ordered the n900 and its on way to me.;););););)
I haven't yet but I read almost every article & saw all the YouTube video on it...

One of the important things to me is the remote desktop.

I prefer use this feather Instead vnc because in rdp i want share & use my n900 memory drives to transfer files between pc and phone.

the Video is too short and has no details ,Is this an existing feature?

Yes there is an App in the Extra-Devel or Testing I think. Called something like " RDesktop"

Yes RDesktop seems to be it, it's mentioned in the title. Here's the official page, although an Maemo version is probably not available there. As maxximuscool says, it seems to be available in the repositories.

I tried it with my N900 and Windows XP and it worked fine.

The apps name is rdesktop.

So I was right on the money lo. But I installed it once and I have no idea how to configure the damn thing lol. Especially the "server" part. I think it meant to be my wireless network? Not sure.

So as a nubie I downloaded the deb but I didn't know how to install it.

As a nubie flowed the tutorials below to install a .deb file:

I now have RDP working on my n900 and I have custom icons to create a secure ssh tune for multiple computers.
