Quran on N900
 

Peace be with you All,

I got into the habit of reading the quran on a daily basis, I wanted to know if there are any new apps being developed for Quran.

Another cool app would be integrating the GPS to show you the direction of mecca (where muslims pray). I'm hungry for apps =)

What i did for now is upload a pdf copy to my N900, but having something in flash would be better.

Also is there anyway I can use apps from other phones on my N900

You can use FBreader e-book reader.

Here you can find the Quran in several e-book formats. Among them, FBreader supports Plucker (recommended), Doc and Text formats.

What about using this - http://www.quranflash.com/en/index.html - in the meantime perhaps?

The Mecca app though, now that does sound like a cool request. Perhaps add it to a Brainstorm and some enterprising soul will assist in making the app for you?

For the Quran I use a shortcut to an internet site currently :)
What would be nice is if a program could fetch the pray times (5x a day) from a database according to the city you selected and alert you whenever to pray :)

I am currently working on a Prayer Time application (that works offline). Got the code running, just battling with Qt Creator to make it into a Qt app.
